The foremost element in your marketing campaign is the commercial production. The production is the vehicle that will educate, inform, and hopefully motivate a consumer to make a purchasing decision; whether thru an 800 number, thru a web site, or at a retail store.
However, before you roll the cameras there is much to do to make the program right for your company and your product.
Creating a DR commercial production is unique from almost any other type of production. It requires the expertise of a person who is both creative and is a master salesperson. Finding the right person or company to create your show is like commissioning the right artist to paint a picture for you. The Artist must be able to execute your vision, after all nobody knows the product or customer like you do. The product itself will dictate many of these early decisions.

- 2. Does it need a celebrity? Will the celebrity improve sales?
- 3. Can a story be told in 2 minutes or does it need more time to be explained?
- 4. Does it need animation to help illustrate an important technical aspect?
- 5. Do you have credible testimonials from satisfied customers?
- 6. Is it a lead generation show or a direct sales show?
- 7. Are there any regulatory guidelines that need to be considered?
